"Edited to add: I will respectfully decline your offer to meet. If this review actually mattered you would've contacted us/returned the message I left. That's what we pay a local rep for, however the PR friendly response does make it look like you care. Accident date: April 22 Phone call date: April 23, appx 9:30/10:00am. A family member got into a major accident. I called to get information on how to remove that family member from our policy and a couple other questions regarding our liability. Tori answered the phone. Had my insurance card for 1 vehicle on my policy, explained I was calling about a different vehicle on our policy. Asked about what we need to do having been in this major accident. Tori told me to call claims and file a claim. I was very confused as we only have the very basic of coverage on this vehicle. I asked why I needed to file a claim. Tori got very impatient with my questions and transferred me to someone else. That someone explained I could not remove my family member from my policy until after the investigation is over or else Louisiana would view it as insurance fraud. I understood that part but again asked for further information about how to protect ourselves from being liable for any other mistakesy family member may make. She again encouraged me to call the 800 claims number. I called the claims number. Sat on hold for 30 minutes. Eric in claims confirmed there was nothing but liability on our vehicle so there was nothing to make a claim on. I asked again about how to protect us in the future and the claims representative told me I needed to contact my agent's office. Tori answered the phone again. I explained that I knew she didn't even look up the correct vehicle and that I needed some questions answered. TORI HUNG UP ON ME. I called right back and Emily answered. Now this is the 4th person I've had to explain very personal details about my family member to. Explained I got bad information, then I wasted a bunch of time doing what Tori told me to do, and then when I called back as instructed to do so by claims, Tori HUNG UP ON ME. Emily was very compassionate and understanding of what information I was asking for. She assured me she would be calling Carson right away and asking him to follow up with me. Took my name and information. Today is April 28th. I have not heard anything from Carson or Emily or anyone from that office. It is also very difficult to get a quote for a new vehicle from this office. They would not allow me to get a quote until my spouse made me an authorized member. I could understand not allowing me to add a vehicle without being an authorized member, but to refuse to give me a quote when I can verify I am on the policy is ridiculous. AND you can only get a quote during standard M-F, 9a-5p hours. If you work a day job and only have time to car shop on the weekends, you're unfortunately S.O.L. As soon as this accident is resolved we will be leaving State Farm for good. Hanging up on someone who pays you while they're in crisis is not the support I want from my insurance agent."
